Prior to the actual process of applying for a Belize Mutual Fund License, consent has to be obtained from the Minister. After obtaining consent, the second step involves the formal application to the Registrar. As a part of the application, information needs to be provided about the company as well as the directors, general partners or trustees, and managers, administrators, investment advisers, and custodians.
The fee payable to the Registrar for the issuance of a registration certificate is $500. After completion of the application process, the Registrar will issue a certificate of registration. An annual fee of $500 also has to be paid every year before 31 January to renew the license.
