What are the requirements for Paraguay Residency?

The following documents are required for Paraguay Permanent Residence Application:

•  A valid travel document (Passport with Visa if applicable)
•  Economic solvency by either of the following means:
•  submission of a bank statement with a balance of around US$ 5000-10000
•  Proof of Paraguayan Property
• Salary contract in Paraguay of a satisfactory amount
•  A police clearance certificate from country of origin
•  A copy of your birth certificate and
•  Copies of your educational qualifications.
• In case, your spouse and children desire to accompany you, then your marriage certificate and the birth certificate of the children are required

These documents may need to be legalized or apostatized based on your country of origin before submission.

For applicants from countries who require a visa, to begin with, the process, an invitation needs to be sought from a citizen of Paraguay which is approved by the Ministry of Foreign affairs and the process takes around 1 month. The Visa application along with the invite is then submitted to the embassy and following a small formal interview with the visa officer, the visa is issued within 10-15 days.
